Dental Bridges

A fixed, natural-looking solution for missing teeth.

Here at Maida Smiles, our dentists like Dr Harrison and Dr Gutierres are specifically skilled in the art of restoring missing teeth, which is why our practice in London offers several types of advanced treatments for tooth loss. For example, we don’t just offer regular, traditional bridges, we can integrate other areas like dentistry like implants, with bridges to create a restoration that lasts longer, looks more natural and offers no degree of movement.

Your brief overview for replacing teth with a bridge

A bridge uses the strong teeth on either side of a gap to act as anchors. These support a custom-made tooth that fills the space, restoring your smile’s natural line and function.

Each bridge is meticulously crafted from high-quality porcelain to blend seamlessly with your other teeth. It restores your ability to chew with confidence and prevents neighbouring teeth from shifting over time.

How to make dental bridges even better

Above, we’ve touched on how to integrate dental bridges with implants to make them more secure. But the benefits don’t stop there. For example, dental implants replace the tooth’s natural root, which means it doesn’t rely on otherwise healthy teeth for support.

In traditional bridge cases, the teeth on either side of the gap have to be filed down and replaced with crowns—this is permanent, and the crowns will need replacing. With dental implants, we only use crowns for the fake teeth, leaving your natural teeth untouched and intact.

Dental implants also boast a longer lifespan than dental bridges, lasting typically between 15 and 25 years, with some lasting up to 30. Thus, they are the most durable tooth replacement system available in dentistry today.
