Experience a more comfortable, gentle, and effective hygiene appointment at no extra cost. The AIRFLOW® Prophylaxis Master is a modern dental clean system that uses warm water and soft powder to clean teeth, keeping discomfort low, especially for patients with sensitive teeth.
You don’t need to have a check-up to book your hygiene appointment, but if you’re a new patient it’s best to book a check-up first to fully assess your oral health to determine the next best course of action – and how often you’ll need a hygiene visit, for example.
In cases where patients are experiencing significant gum inflammation or gum disease, we may recommend visiting the hygienist every 2-3 months, rather than every 6-12 months.
From your initial check-up appointment, our hygienist will review the dentist’s notes and be able to better target your oral health concerns with clear direction. This way, the dentist and the hygienist can work in conjunction to reverse any signs and symptoms of gum disease and decay that we uncover.
What's achievable
Deep hygiene cleans for gum disease and receding gums
You’re not alone if you’re struggling with common gum disease consequences like receding gums and black triangular pockets, and we know that some patients might be fearful to come in for a clean if say, for example, the plaque and tartar seem to be keeping your teeth together.
As root scaling and planning will remove the plaque, it can be scary to think what will be left behind. But leaving it there will only cause more damage to your oral health and cause your gums to pull away from teeth at an even faster rate than before.
If you have cosmetic concerns about how your smile will look like after a hygiene session, don’t worry. There are several affordable cosmetic treatments that can help receding gums and close gaps between teeth.
Knowing when it's time for your next hygiene appointment
Patients are recommended to visit our dental hygienist, Hala Jumah every six months.
However, if patients are experiencing any of the below signs and symptoms of gum disease or decay, then it’s best to schedule one as soon as possible, and might benefit from booking a check-up at the same time.
