Fixed braces use small brackets attached to each tooth and joined by a wire. Over time, thicker wires will be placed and adjusted to create a gentle force of pressure that gradually aligns the teeth into their correct positions.
How do they work?
The wire attached to the brackets creates tension, which gradually shifts teeth into their desired positions over time.
Typically, every four weeks, our orthodontists will check and adjust the braces, which will involve tightening and changing the wires to ensure the teeth continue to move in the right direction.
