Whether you need to remove a tooth because it’s damaged, heavily decayed, affected by periodontal disease or simply because of overcrowding, Maida Smiles Clinic in Maida Vale, London can help make the process as seamless and pain-free as possible.

How much does a tooth extraction cost?

The cost of tooth extraction will depend on the complexity of your case and the number of teeth that need to be pulled. For example, impacted wisdom teeth, which might require surgical extraction, will cost more than conventional ones. Our London dentists charge from £300 for a regular extraction or £450 for surgical extractions, which is completely financeable using 0% APR over 12 months.

Making the procedure painless and less frightening

We understand that for some patients, the thought of removing a tooth is frightening, especially if they’re nervous or phobic patients who’re afraid of the dentist. You’ll understand that the tooth needs to be removed, but that doesn’t make the process any easier, even with the procedure being carried out under local anaesthetic.

Alongside a calming clinical environment, we offer dental sedation for our nervous patients.

Instead of being scared or overwhelmed, they will feel completely and utterly at ease, remembering very little of the procedure in the end. Our dental sedation option costs from £300 per hour, and you’ll only typically need an hour for simple extractions.

Dental sedation is also applicable for patients who might find it difficult to sit still and remain calm for prolonged periods. Talk to us about sedation.

If we can save your tooth, we will

At Maida Smiles, we will do everything in our power to preserve the natural tooth structure and avoid a tooth extraction unless the tooth’s removal is unavoidable, with patients having a better prognosis if it’s pulled.

Signs patients need a tooth extraction include:

  • The tooth has broken apart extensively, and there is not enough structure to restore it.
  • Root canal treatment has failed, the tooth is reinfected, and a re-root canal is not plausible.
  • Wishing not to opt for a root canal and removing the infected tooth instead.

The tooth extraction procedure will be painless, with patients only feeling pressure. Following the procedure, patients will begin to feel discomfort as the anaesthetic wears off, and we’ll provide you with aftercare tips to keep the side effects to a minimum.
